Some of my favourite things

Beyond the obvious, there are some things I really love. That's me and my dog Macintosh to the left.:

Aviation - my time on the Jaguar aircraft programme,

The music of Jake Thackray,

Leeds trams,

and my unrequited and dormant passion....Community-based railways - that is railwlays run for the good of their communitie (especially those who cannot or do not drive a car) is and the environment, not the pockets of the Treasury or the egos of self-servers.

Most sady, Macintosh the wonder dog and Border Collie supreme, passed away on 22 October 2007 at the grand old age of 15 and a half. He was active till the last, slowly snuffling along his favourite walk on the disused railway line behind our house, on the Saturday afternoon. He was clearly unwell first thing on Sunday and passed away in the early hours of Monday. He will be very very greatly missed by me and Viv. There cannot ever have been a better, more loving dog.
